The province of Logroño, territorial base of the current Comunidad Autónoma de La Rioja, was born in the Liberal Triennium. The process began in the first spanish constitutional period, but it was in this second period that the definitive steps were taken. For its achievement the liberal interests of La Rioja converged both in the region itself and in the Court, its birth being fundamental for the consolidation of liberalism in La Rioja during the nineteenth century. La provincia de Logroño, base territorial de la actual Comunidad Autónoma de La Rioja, nació en el Trienio Liberal. El proceso comenzó en el primer período constitucional español, pero fue en este segundo cuando se dieron los pasos definitivos. Para su logro confluyeron los intereses liberales riojanos tanto en la propia región como en la Corte, siendo su nacimiento fundamental para el afianzamiento del liberalismo en La Rioja durante el siglo XIX. |
